"Agape has been an amazing theater group to work with! Theater has taught our children so much about perseverance, public speaking, overcoming fears, how to laugh at themselves, and how to accept + grow after failure. We are thankful to be able to work with Ms. Kathy and the other staff, who invest in the children's abilities, character, and spiritual growth. Our children have so many WONDERFUL memories associated with Agape!"

"Our son, Evan, has been involved in theatre since he was in third grade. Although we have a wonderful local youth theatre, his introduction to Agape, as a sophomore, opened a new world for him. Under the direction of Dr. Kathy Phipps’s, Evan’s love and interest for Shakespeare was unlocked. Kathy’s expertise and passion for the process and product, coupled with the talented team of directors and volunteers, brought not only Evan’s interest to the surface, but the excellence of the production gave him an experience above many youth theatres. Agape, and their Bard Fest Youth Program, lead him to great and talented peers who now continue to act and create together both through Agape and beyond. There is no doubt that Agape Performing Arts played a major role (pun intended) in Evan deciding to study theatre in college. We are so happy to be a part of the Agape Family. "

Agape and Miss Kathy have been such a blessing to my daughters. I love the consistency of the directing team. Miss Kathy has instilled so much confidence into my daughters by seeing their potential. The potential of greatness is in each of us and it is an amazing blessing to have someone see that in you and believe you are capable.
Now speaking to the shows Agape has performed, I love to hear and see the people's reactions that attend the performances. So many times people have told me that they can't believe that this is a community theater program. It makes my daughters and I so proud to be a small part of this organization. We love Agape!

Agape is not just a production company, it is a family. 5 years ago when my daughter auditioned for Les Misérables, I was excited that she was going to experience musical theater. I did not expect it to become a way of life for us. Now, several productions later, she has a group of young people who build up her confidence and provide her with the encouragement she needs. The adult leaders of each production take the time to watch and ensure each young person in the production are supported and have knowledge they need to excel. The adults welcome each new family, parents and siblings, with open arms and offers of friendship. I am so thankful for the intangible gifts that have been showered upon my family by Agape.

We have really enjoyed our time at Agape. The quality of the shows from the sets, to the direction, to the music instruction, to the performances themselves is amazing. Having been through a number of shows, we've seen first-hand how Agape really brings out the best in each person, and the work and dedication that goes into the shows results in something that everyone is - and should be - very proud of when the curtain goes up!
