Daniel Bowen is an electrical engineer by trade. He has served in the field artillery, played sports, and coached teams. Mostly though, he loves to tell a good story. Becoming a Thespian in high school he found theater to be one of the best ways to tell a story and really involve the listener. Theater is a chance not just to see and hear, but to become immersed and connect with whatever story is being told. The audience is a guest invited to draw, not just emotionally, but physically near to the story. Through theater we can share the emotional joys and sorrows of the characters and, in doing so, share an experience with others at the theater. Daniel has acted in many musicals and plays. Some of the favorite rolls he played were: Dr. Dysart in Equus, Young Joe in Damn Yankees, Bud Frump in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and Charlie Brown in You’re a Good man Charlie Brown and Snoopy! This is Daniel’s first time directing. He would like to thank the many people who have made this show, The Pirates of Penzance possible. Their bios clearly show the creative talent, expertise, and passion that have made this show a fun romp that all can enjoy. Daniel would also like to thank his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has given Daniel the experience, ability, and opportunity to serve Agape Theater as a director. Christ is the greatest story and storyteller, ever. May our story tonight be one that both you and He can enjoy.
