In Julius Caesar some Senators are concerned that Julius Caesar poses a threat to democracy. The revolutionaries take the violent decision to murder him. As the world spins out of control, the chaos leads to civil war.
Agape Theater Company has been producing Shakespearean plays since 2018. Our highly acclaimed previous productions include A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Tempest (which was awarded the "Most Impressive Youth Production" in 2019), Macbeth, and The Winter's Tale.
Darby Kear Directs this production. He was our Assistant Director for Macbeth. Darby also played "Oberon" in our production of Midsummer, the "Porter" in Macbeth and "Nobleman" and "Shepherd" in our production of The Winter's Tale.
Dr. Kathy Phipps is the Artistic Director of this production. She studied Shakespeare in London during her doctoral coursework and is trained in making the Shakespearean language accessible to the actor and audience. Performers who are new to Shakespeare are welcome to audition.
General Auditions are Tuesday, September 26 from 7:00 - 9:00 at St. Roch's School Cafeteria. Actors should some prepared to present a one minute memorized monologue from Shakespeare. Sign-Up information will be shared soon.
Call Backs will be Wednesday, September 27 from 6:00 - 9:00 at the St. Roch's Cafeteria. Call Backs are by invitation only and are closed.

Beginning on October 3rd, rehearsals are Tuesday nights and Wednesday night from 6:00 - 9:00 at St. Roch's School Cafeteria (on the corner of Sumner and Meridian in Indianapolis). Rehearsals are in October, November, December, and January with breaks for holidays. January 28 - February 1 are mandatory Tech Week Rehearsals at the Indy Fringe Theater in Indianapolis. Performances are February 2-4 and 9-11, 2024 at the Indy Fringe Theater 719 E. St. Clair St. Indianapolis 46202
Agape Theater Company previously announced our production of School for Scandal, but this show will be a part of our 2025 season.
